Mix 96.5, 105.9 the Mountain, ESPN Radio 1310 & 970 and 98.1 the River is seeking a bookkeeping professional with strong leadership and organizational skills for the position of Assistant Business Manager (reports to the Business Manager and General Manager). Responsibilities include assisting with A/R, A/P, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, credit/collections, human resources, and benefit administration. Qualified candidates must have a college degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar bookkeeping and decision-making position. Musts: Be able to function in a fast-paced environment, be hyper-organized, work well with a variety of personalities, be detail oriented, flexible, cope with varied duties, work independently, have analytical skills to interpret data and problem-solve, strong key-punching skills/accuracy and have strong computer skills: MS Office, Outlook (and especially Excel). Successful candidate will exceed sales goals by developing a successful clientele selling advertising on the Asheville Radio Group radio stations. The position is based in Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville Radio Group is part of Saga Communications, a publically held company based in Grosse Point Farms, Michigan. This position reports to the General Sales Manager. Advertising sales experience is not necessary, but is helpful.
Successful applicants must possesssales experience, strong work ethic, high energy and mature self management skills.
Core responsibilities include developing and maintaining a viable database of prospects; making an established minimum of outgoing sales calls to new or existing prospects per day; making outside calls to established minimum for new or existing prospects; maintaining focus on total customer satisfaction and provide customers with accurate information in a timely manner.
